Terms of Use
Last updated: 19 September 2026
These terms cover your use of the Sortd iPhone app ("Sortd"), made by the Sortd team ("we"). By using Sortd, you agree to them. If you got Sortd from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
What Sortd is
Sortd helps you keep track of your own spending. It is not a bank. It doesn't move money, make payments, or connect to your bank account.
Not financial advice
Nothing in Sortd is financial, tax or legal advice. Categories, totals, budgets and repeat-payment predictions are there to help you see your spending. Make your own decisions, and get advice from a qualified person if you need it.
Check your bank statements
Sortd builds its list from Apple Pay taps, email receipts and bank alerts, and what you enter. These can be missing, late, or wrong. Converted amounts use published exchange rates, which may differ from what your bank charged. Always check your bank statement for the exact figures.
Provided "as is"
Sortd is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be error-free or always available. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss that comes from relying on Sortd, including missed or wrong purchases, wrong totals, or lost data. Your data is stored only on your iPhone, so keep your own backups or export your purchases if they matter to you.
Your part
- Use Sortd only for your own spending and your own accounts.
- If you connect Gmail, you also agree to Google's terms for your Google Account.
- Don't try to misuse, copy, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
Privacy
How Sortd handles your information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Sortd after a change, the new terms apply.
